#1 on the Celtic Music Charts in March 2013

The Celtic Music CD Store is excited to announce that one of its own is one of the top Celtic artists in the World!  I’m referring to Marc Gunn, aka The Celtfather who hit #1 on the Celtic music charts on Reverbnation.  Marc Gunn just released his latest CD of St. Patrick’s Day music called Not Every Day Is St. Patrick’s Day.  The album was released in January 2013 and it was one of the Top 10 World Music albums on iTunes and a #1 album on the Celtic charts on Amazon.  Now Gunn is vying for the #1 position in the world thanks to his prolific promotion.

If that’s not enough, Marc Gunn just released a new compilation from his many Celtic albums featuring the 20 of the Best Irish Drinking Songs.  The album has already garnered attention on CD Baby.  It should be available on iTunes and Amazon in about a week.

St Patrick’s Day is a big time for all of our artists.  Brobdingnagian Bards‘ album The Holy Grail of Irish Drinking Songs is one of the highest selling albums for “Irish drinking songs” on iTunes.

Marc Gunn’s Irish & Celtic Music Podcast compilation CD Victims of Irish Music is one of the top albums for “Irish music” every year.  It is a brilliant album of instrumental Irish music from 17 of the best indie Celtic bands online.  The album was first released in 2006 and is seeing a revival this year.  We expect record sales.

This is good news for the Celtic music community because a portion of sales from Victims of Irish Music will benefit Celtic non-profits around the nation. To date, Mage Records has donated over $16,000.  Can we break $20,000 in 2013?

Purchase one of our Celtic compilations on Amazon, or iTunes and help us top the charts.
