Greetings Celtic Music Lovers,

My wife and I are just 4 weeks away from having our first daughter brought into the world. I can't begin to tell you how excited I am about it. Her name is Heather Kenzie Gunn.

Knowing a new baby is entering my life has led to a lot of changes. I've been planning for months. Because once she is born, I will take a big break from a lot of my online endeavors.

Don't worry. this ezine will still come out once a month as planned. Not to mention, I already have several Irish & Celtic Music Podcast specials to keep you entertained.

The baby preparations also have me thinking about community. I can't wait to bring my daughter into the Celtic community that I love so much. I know you will welcome her with open arms.

I also hope you will continue to get involved in your local Celtic community. Make a difference by telling your friends and neighbors all about your love of Celtic music and culture. And if you don't have, make a donation to a Celtic non-profit. I do that all the time. In fact, I've donated well-over $10,000 to Celtic non-profits. It makes a difference to your Celtic community.

On to the news…

I want to thank all the wonderful people who decide to sponsor the magazine with their annual subscription donation. It's just $6 per year! That’s just 50 cents per month to read CD reviews, news articles, interviews and of course a ton of free MP3s. And Hmm… Maybe I can find you a very special gift to thank you…. Stay tuned for that!

Last month, I asked you to rate my latest Celtic Music iMix on iTunes. I have a brand new one coming to you next Monday. But before I release it, I would like YOUR suggestion. Email me the name of one song by one artist who is on iTunes and who you think I should be added to my latest iMix.

I will add the band to the iMix. I only have about ten slots open. So email your suggestion asap.

Then rate the iMixes through the Irish & Celtic Music Podcast website:

Look for me in Lafayette, LA on October 9th when I perform a benefit for the Folks of Acadiana. Starting in November and for six weeks after that I will be performing at the Louisiana Renaissance Festival. Find my complete touring schedule at www.marcgunn.com/gigs.

I don't have much else planned for the end of the year, but you can read all my Exciting News on my website.

Wouldn't it be amazing to walk among the roling green hills of Ireland? Picture the texture of standing stones, the sounds of Irish fiddle, and the wet taste of Guinness on your lips and you're just now beginning to understand how cool it will be next June when you join me on another Celtic Invasion of Ireland.

The trip is scheduled for June 13-20, 2011. And if you don't want to leave the country, you can enjoy similar exciting experiences in New Orleans or on the West Coast of the U.S..

Find all the details when you visit the website at www.celticinvasion.com.
